Are Female NYC Public School Teachers Greedy Whores?

I read an article in NY Post last night that was subtle and not too subtle in its use of inference against female NYC public school teachers. https://nypost.com/2019/07/28/city-teachers-flood-sugar-daddy-site-for-extra-income/?utm_campaign=iosapp&utm_source=pasteboard_app  Notice how it starts off - after the salacious pun - ‘It’s reading, writing and writhing. Hundreds of city teachers are boosting their incomes through lucrative liaisons with sugar daddies, according to the dating Web site SeekingArrangement.com, which pairs attractive young people with rich, typically older romantic partners.‘

The article then breaks down the stats, borough by borough, for those who want to know where these vixens live. It adds it doesn’t know if the teachers are private or public school teachers, but adds, ‘The average teacher’s salary in New York state was a highest-in-the-nation $79,588 in 2017, according to a Rockefeller Institute of Government analysis of state Department of Education data published in April.’  Ah, what does this infer? Even though these NYC public school teachers are the best paid teachers in the country, the greedy sluts will sell themselves for a better lifestyle. If there’s any doubt about this, it concludes with, ‘That report also found that the wages of New York state teachers who have Bachelor’s degrees has grown commensurate to the salaries of other BA between 2007 and 2017. Starting annual salaries for city teachers with a Bachelor’s degree average $57,000, while teachers with a Master’s clear around $63,000 when they start.‘

Maybe it’s just me, but I found this article greatly offensive. Young teachers that give their time and effort to educate kids shouldn’t be vilified in this manner. The article intentionally focuses on public school teachers even though there’s no evidence that any NYC public school teacher is involved. The Post infers via it’s emphasis on public school teachers, that private and parochial school teachers, who make less than half what public school teachers do, would be above these sexual special relationships. Most outrageously it never mentions charter school teachers, who must be completely above this sort of thing - their character is obviously above reproach. Make no mistake, targeting the reputations and character of NYC public school teachers is an attack. An attack because we make a decent salary, have a union, thwart charter schools and will not relinquish our rights to a fair salary and benefits, so that Eva and her minions can make a fortune.
